STOCKTON – Hosting the Tiger Thanksgiving Classic over the holiday doesn’t necessarily mean Pacific felt like it had to make its opponent, UC Riverside, comfortable Thursday at the Spanos Center.
Points were at a premium, but the Tigers prevailed 74-54 in a low-scoring affair in front of 384 fans. Pacific (4-2) next plays at 5:30 today against Abilene Christian.
Roberto Gallinat had a team-high 20 points while sophomore teammate Lafayette Dorsey came off the bench to tie a career-best 18 points and collect five rebounds in just 20 minutes. Dikymbe Martin led the Highlanders with 20 points.
