STOCKTON, Calif. - The No. 9 Pacific women's water polo team smothered No. 21 Loyola Marymount en route to an 8-3 win at Chris Kjeldsen Pool Friday. Mariana Duarte, Aelish Guinn, Rachel Krieger and Viktoria Szmodics each scored twice for Pacific.
The Tigers held LMU to three goals on 26 shots and 1-for-7 with a 6-on-5 advantage.
Pacific converted 2-of-4 with the advantage in the contest to improve to 2-0 in Golden Coast Conference play. The Tigers are now 13-7 overall and have won 13 of their last 15 regular season GCC games.
