The Pacific women's basketball team executed beautifully on both ends of the floor with about 8 minutes remaining against Pepperdine in a first-round game of the West Coast Conference Tournament on Thursday at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
Jessica Blakeslee hit a 3-pointer, the Tigers made a defensive stop, and GeAnna Luaulu-Summers made a 3-pointer to put Pacific ahead 54-45 about 2 minutes into the final period. That sequence was pivotal, as the Tigers distanced themselves from the Waves and went on to roll, 73-55.
The win snaps Pacific's six-game losing streak and avenges last season's loss to the Waves in the first round of the conference tournament.
