Comeback 4-3 Win For Tigers In Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. - The Pacific Tigers fought back from down 3-2 and one point away from losing the team match to get the 4-3 win Monday at Fresno, defeating the Fresno State Bulldogs for the first time in program history. The win makes Pacific 8-7 this year, while Fresno State is now also 8-7.

Fresno State led 3-2 thanks to their 2-0 doubles win, then were up 5-3 in the third set of Akram El Sallaly's singles match. One more point would have given Fresno State the match victory but El Sallaly would keep fighting and ended up winning 6-2, 4-6, 7-6.
