Cold spell for Tigers

STOCKTON – The Pacific women’s basketball team got away with a slow start in the first half, but couldn’t do it twice.

After rallying and tying the game 36-36 at halftime, the Tigers opened the third quarter with a 1-for-11 shooting slump and ultimately lost to USF 81-71 on Thursday in front of a season-high crowd of 3,725 at Spanos Center. The event was the third annual Education Day, with more than 3,500 area students attending the game. Accordijng to Pacific officials, Thursday’s attendance was the second largest in school history for a contest which was not a part of a doubleheader with the men’s team.
