STOCKTON, Calif. - Pacific's Kyra Christmas and Mariana Duarte were named All-Americans as the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced the organization's 2017 Women's Division I All-America Team Monday.
The freshman duo helped Pacific to the program's first-ever Golden Coast Conference title and NCAA berth this spring, as Pacific advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Women's Water Polo Championship.
Both players had previously earned All-GCC First Team accolades. Christmas was named to the Third Team, while Duarte earned Honorable Mention.
Christmas, a redshirt freshman from Calgary, Alberta, led the Tigers in scoring with 60 goals and 42 assists for 102 points.
