Pacific men's tennis fell in the first West Coast Conference match of 2019, 4-0 to No. 22 BYU today. Pacific only notched one win in the match, but it was a big one.
At one doubles, Pacific's juniors, Tadiwa Chinamo and Akram El Sallaly were handed their toughest doubles matchup of the season with BYU's Sean Hill and Jeffrey Hsu, who are ranked 37th in the ITA in doubles as of the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association Rankings from March 5. The two rose to the occasion. They took an early lead in doubles and held on to grab the big victory, 6-4.
