STOCKTON, Calif. - Pacific took home its first West Coast Conference weekly honor this week when the duo of Tadiwa Chinamo and Akram El Sallaly were named the Doubles Team of the Week.
Chinamo and El Sallaly defeated the nation's 28th-ranked pairing of Cal Poly 6-3, earning a decisive victory that helped Pacific take the doubles point. This was just the second match of the year that Chinamo and El Sallaly have played together as well.
Chinamo is now 4-4 in doubles this year and 6-3 in singles after the matchup with nationally-ranked Cal Poly.
