Chinamo Edged In Singles Finals

STOCKTON, Calif. - Tadiwa Chinamo of the Pacific men's tennis team won four straight matches to make it to the singles finals of the Pacific Invitational. In a three-set thriller, sophomore Tadiwa Chinamo fell to Mikus Losbergs, the two seed from Sacramento State.

In the first set, Chinamo blew past Losbergs, 6-2 to take a commanding advantage. In the second set, Losbergs took the first game, but Chinamo fought back to knot it 1-1. Chinamo continued to chase as the Hornet went up a game, but Chinamo evened out the set 2-2. The back-and-forth continued to force a tie-break at 6-6, but the Losbergs went on a 6-0 run that the Tiger couldn't back from and Sacramento State took the second set, 7-6(1).
