STOCKTON – Pacific’s 7-foot center Namdi Okonkwo and guard Miles Reynolds have put in some extra work after practice to develop their chemistry.
Their camaraderie in overtime was key to Pacific’s 88-82 win over Loyola Marymount in front of 1,400 on Saturday at Spanos Center.
Okonkwo scored six of his season-high 12 points in the extra period and the Tigers (6-9, 1-1 West Coast Conference) made all 14 of their free throws down to stretch, and avoided an 0-2 start in West Coast Conference play, snapping their five-game losing streak in the process.
“Usually after practice I try to get me and Miles to do some pick-and- rolls because we don’t have enough chemistry,” Okonkwo said.
