STOCKTON, Calif. - Senior Savannah Burns was honored as the America East Offensive Player of the Week today after her performance on the field this past weekend against Stanford and UC Davis.
Burns racked up six points in two games, one of which came when she dished a perfect pass to Hayley Kilfoil who scored against Stanford to help the Tigers pull away from the Cardinal, 2-1 on Friday.
On Sunday, the Somerset West, South Africa native tallied two goals and an assist in the 5-1 trounce over UC Davis. In her first goal, Burns showcased her ball handling skills and took the ball from beyond the arc and dribbled around the Aggie defenders and ripped a shot to the left of the 'keeper.
