BOSTON, Mass. - The America East Conference named senior Savannah Burns and junior Kriekie van Wyk to the All-Championship Team on Sunday following the conclusion of the conference tournament.
During the tournament, Burns assisted two goals in the 3-2 win over Maine to help the Tigers advance to the semifinal match. Throughout the season, the Somerset West, South Africa native earned an abundance of awards including four awards from the America East: Midfielder of the Year, West Division All-Conference, All-Academic, and weekly Offensive Player of the week honors.
Burns has also been selected to participate in the 2017 Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I Senior Game, which is played during the semifinal matches at the NCAA Division I field hockey tournament on Nov.
