STOCKTON – Gio Brusa’s lifelong dream, becoming a Major League Baseball player, hasn’t come to fruition yet.
But at 23 years old, he’s a professional and spending his days immersed in the game and its preparation. And the former Lodian is loving it.
Brusa, a St. Mary’s High and Pacific product, is the starting outfielder for the Cal League’s San Jose Giants, who visit the Stockton Ports for a three-game series today through Sunday at Stockton Ballpark.
“I’m really enjoying life in the bus leagues,” said Brusa, a sixth-round pick of the Giants.
