STOCKTON — Barricaded by Pepperdine defenders, Pacific’s Valerie Higgins had nowhere left to go with the ball. So, she smartly looked to one of the Tigers’ most trusted offensive options in Brooklyn McDavid, all alone at the free-throw line.
McDavid drilled the shot, giving the Tigers a 4-2 lead early in the first quarter against Pepperdine.
In most cases, the third basket of a game is pretty insignificant. Not for McDavid, who emphatically fist-pumped through the air when the ball found the bottom of the net.
