STOCKTON, Calif. - Pacific's Ray Bowles scored 15 of his game-high 21 points in the first half, but Rider used three double-digit scorers to propel the Broncs to a 73-66 win Saturday evening inside Stockton Arena. The Tigers fall to 0-2 in the Gotham Classic this year.
Khalil Thomas posted a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds for Rider (5-3). Jimmie Taylor added 14 points, while Stevie Jordan had 12. Jordan also tallied six assists.
Bowles, who ended the night one point shy of tying his career-high, was 4-of-7 from deep and 5-of-6 from the line to lead four Pacific (3-6) players in double-figures.
