Thanks to a huge night from Lafayette Dorsey, the Tigers started their week with a win.
Dorsey scored 31 points on 9-of-14 shooting, while also going 10 for 10 from the free-throw line, helping the Pacific men’s basketball team beat visiting Long Beach State 74-68 Monday night at Pacific.
Roberto Gallinat added 16 points for the Tigers, with Anthony Townes contributing 14 points and eight rebounds.
Long Beach State led 38-30 at the break, but Pacific (8-4) went on a 44-30 run in the second half to erase the deficit. The Tigers shot 43.1 percent from the field, combined with a 19-of-20 night as a team from the charity strike.
