STOCKTON — When half of a college basketball roster is new, growing pains are inevitable.
But if Pacific’s season-long climb mirrors Tuesday night’s performance, then there is reason for optimism.
After an uneven start against Stanislaus State, Pacific capped the first half on a 28-6 run en route to a 91-66 rout in the Tigers’ home opener at Spanos Center.
“We’ve got a bunch of guys who can do different things. But once the game settled in a little bit, guys were able to find their rhythm,” Pacific coach Damon Stoudamire said of his 14-man roster, which features seven newcomers.
