TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Pacific baseball team rallied to erase an 8-1 deficit Friday at Florida State, but the Seminoles won the first game of the four-game series, 9-8 on an eighth inning home run from Dylan Busby.
Down 8-1 after two innings, Pacific posted two runs in the fourth and five in the seventh to tie the game at 8-8. Danny Mayer finished 2-for-4 with two RBI, while James Free II was 2-for-5 with three runs driven in. Lucas Halstead reached base four times as he went 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI and three walks.
