Baseball Topped By BYU, 5-2

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific baseball team out-hit BYU 8-6, but the Cougars capitalized on costly miscues for a 5-2 win on Saturday in the series finale at Klein Family Field.

Ryan Robards each posted 2-for-4 afternoons. Halstead homered and doubled in the game while scoring both Pacific runs, while Robards finished with a double and an RBI.

Ricky Reynoso pitched well, allowing zero earned runs in six innings of work on just three hits. But the lefty struggled on throws in the infield with a pair of failed pickoffs and bunt attempts leading to four unearned runs.
