LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Golden Coast Conference announced graduate senior Brinnley Barthels as this week's Conference Player of the Week Thursday morning.
Barthels gets the nod with her first-ever weekly award after helping the Tigers earn a pair of top-10 victories against No. 7 Michigan and No. 8 UC Irvine at the Barbara Kalbus Tournament this past weekend.
Barthels took over in the Tigers' first match against No. 7 Anteaters, shooting an efficient 4-of-5 from the field and scoring three pivotal goals late in the fourth period in UOP's 13-11 victory in Irvine. The Sacramento, Calif.
