Pacific women's basketball's senior guard Ameela Li picked up the West Coast Conference's first Player of the Week honor of the 2018-19 season and the third of her career today after leading the Tigers to an 83-80 win on Sunday against UC Davis on the road.
Li led the Tigers with a career-high 27 points, seven assists, four steals and two rebounds. She shot 10-19 from the field and was 4-9 from three-point range. Li played all but the final five minutes of the game after fouling out, but not before helping the Tigers out to a big lead that would stand up thanks to an 11-point third quarter in which she had three assists and a steal while shooting 50 percent from the field.
