STOCKTON – Their numbers may be few, but the Pacific Tigers volleyball team avenged a preseason loss to Loyola Marymount on Thursday with a convincing 3-0 sweep over the Lions in West Coast Conference action at Spanos Center.
Pacific won by scores of 25-22, 25-14, 25-16 to earn a season split with the Lions, who defeated the Tigers in a five-set tiebreaker on Oct. 6. Pacific (4-8 WCC, 9-14 overall) was led by Kaitlyn Lines, who added 13 kills to her WCC-leading 343 total kills.
“This one we just really went out with nothing to lose,” said Lines, who added two service aces and a pair of blocks.
