INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The No. 8 Pacific women's water polo team takes on No. 2 Stanford in the NCAA Championship quarterfinals on Friday at 12:30 p.m. PT.
Pacific is making the program's first NCAA appearance, and won the opening round game at Chris Kjeldsen Pool last weekend over No. 25 Pomona-Pitzer, 11-5.
The Tigers are ranked No. 8 for the second straight week. It's the highest ranking in program history, topping the previous mark set sthis year when Pacific spent seven weeks at No. 8.
Pacific's 21-8 record is tied for the second-most wins in program history, two shy of the top mark set in 2010 with 23 wins.
