LOS ANGELES - John Hedges posted a career-high 18 saves as the No. 5 Pacific men's water polo team wrapped the MPSF Invitational with a 13-10 win over No. 6 Long Beach State Sunday in the fifth-place game.
Ben Stevenson scored four goals for Pacific, while Luke Pavillard added three. Engin Ege Colak and Devon Thumwood each tallied two goals, while Kale Ai and Eli Lule also scored. Ai also contributed three assists.
The Tigers finished 6-for-10 for the game with the 6-on-5 power-play, while Long Beach State finished 4-for-8 with the man advantage, and 2-for-2 on five-meter penalty shots.
