#5 Men's Water Polo Hosts Pomona-Pitzer In NCAAs Saturday

STOCKTON, Calif. - The No. 5 Pacific men's water polo team will play host to No. 17 Pomona-Pitzer in the NCAA Opening Round on Saturday at noon at Chris Kjeldsen Pool. The Tigers are in the NCAA Tournament for the second time in five years and will go for their 20th win of the season against the Sagehens.

Pacific (19-5) won the first-ever automatic bid from the Golden Coast Conference with a semifinal win over #10 Pepperdine, 12-9, and win over #7 UC Irvine, 9-5, in the final last Sunday.

Pomona-Pitzer are the regular season and conference tournament champions of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), and enter with a record of 24-10 overall after their 13-1 SCIAC season.
