STOCKTON, Calif. – The University of the Pacific men's tennis team fell, 4-1, to #48 Loyola Marymount University on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers fall to 5-14 on the season and 2-3 in conference, while the Lions improve to 13-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
After falling in the doubles, Akram El Sallaly picked up one point for the Tigers in No. 4 singles. El Sallaly defeated his opponent Lucas Moreno in two straight sets by decisions of 6-3 and 6-1. In No. 5 singles, Johnathan Lieu forced a tiebreaker in the second set, after falling 6-4 in set one.
