LOWELL, Mass. - The No. 24 Pacific field hockey team advances to the semifinal match of the America East Conference tournament after defeating the No. 25 Maine Black Bears, 3-2 Friday afternoon. America East Offensive Player of the Year, Kriekie van Wyk tallied two goals and an assist in the win, while Rylee Comeau added a goal and Savannah Burns registered two assists.
With the win, the Tigers will face-off against Stanford on Saturday, November 4 at 11:30 a.m.
In the first half, the Tigers struck first as Savannah Burns did what she does best and dribbled around the Maine defenders and sent the ball in to Kriekie van Wyk who got her stick on the ball to tap it to the back of the net.
