#24 Field Hockey Falls at #12 Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The No. 24 Pacific field hockey team dueled with No. 12 Syracuse for the second time this season Saturday morning and fell to the Orange, 3-0. Kriekie van Wyk paced the Tigers with five shots, while Marlise van Tonder made six saves for Pacific.

The loss evens the Tigers at 8-8 overall, while the win for Syracuse improves the Orange to 12-6.

The first half was back-and-forth and the first chance for the Tigers didn't come until the 18th minute when Pacific was awarded a penalty corner after Syracuse pushed the ball out of bounds in their own zone.
