#20/16 UCLA defeats Pacific in season opener

LOS ANGELES - T.J. Wallace scored 14 of his team-high 21 points in the first 20 minutes Friday, but No. 20/16 UCLA made a single-game record 18 3-pointers, leading to a 119-80 win in Pauley Pavilion in the season opener for both teams. The Bruins have won seven-straight in the series and improve to 7-1 all-time against the Orange and Black.

Pacific (0-1) is now 13-4 in its last 17 season openers and have lost back-to-back season openers for the first time since 1992-93 and 1993-94.

UCLA shot 61.5 percent (40-of-65) from the floor and 60 percent (18-of-30) from deep.
