STOCKTON, Calif. - The No. 13 Pacific women's water polo team was picked by the Golden Coast Conference head coaches to top the league in the preseason poll released Friday by the conference.
The Tigers earned all seven of the possible first-place votes for a maximum of 49 points. Pacific had been picked second in each of the previous GCC preseason polls. San Diego State, which topped the Tigers in sudden-death overtime in last season's GCC Championship game, was picked second with 43 points (earning the first place vote from Pacific head coach James Graham).
LMU, who claimed the first two GCC tournament titles, was picked third with 35 points.
