San Jose, Calif. - The No. 10 Pacific women's water polo team cruised to its first win of the season, downing Sonoma State 14-6 behind six goals from Kyra Christmas.
Karolina Hlavata scored twice and Aelish Guinn, Rachel Krieger, Catie Mahnke, Viktoria Szmodics, Ellen Tiedemann and Megan Torre all also scored for the Tigers.
Alexis Hollinrake made 12 saves in goal for the Tigers.
Pacific jumped out to an 8-1 lead and coasted home. Christmas scored first and after Noelle Herrera answered for Sonoma State, Christmas gave the Tigers the lead for good at the 6:15 mark of the first quarter.
