STOCKTON, Calif. - No. 10 Pacific heads to Santa Clara for the Golden Coast Conference Women's Water Polo Championships opening Friday. The Tigers will face Fresno Pacific at noon in the quarterfinals.
The Tigers are the second-seed at the GCC Championship, and take on the seventh-seeded Fresno Pacific Sunbirds in the quarters. Pacific wrapped the regular season at 17-8 overall and 6-1 in GCC play.
Fresno Pacific enters the tournament at 14-14 overall after a 1-6 conference season.
The Tigers and Sunbirds just met last Thursday in Fresno, where the Tigers posted a 16-8 victory. Kyra Christmas, Mariana Duarte and Rachel Krieger each scored three goals in the contest, while Truly Dorland tied her career-high with two goals.
