EUGENE, Ore. -- On Saturday evening after Vernon Adams Jr. picked apart USC's defense, throwing for 407 yards and six touchdowns, he sat in front of the media and was asked if he wished he had more time with Oregon, if he wished he would be given back the time that he had to sit out earlier this season when he broke his finger.
Does he think about that? Does it bother him?
"It is what it is," he said.
But it didn't have to be.
