As Washington State was in the early stages of its prep work for Tuesday's National Funding Holiday Bowl (7 p.m. ET, ESPN/WatchESPN) a couple weeks ago, receiver Gabe Marks got to talking about the San Diego Zoo. It’s generally regarded as one of the best zoos in the world, and as part of the bowl festivities, the team would get to spend some time there on Christmas Day.
Marks was pleased it was part of the itinerary.
“I’ve wanted to go to a zoo for a long time,” Marks said. “I just haven’t gotten around to it lately.
