Washington State will face Cal's offensive firepower in Berkley this Saturday. These are two similar teams, with high-powered offenses, weak defenses and red zone problems for both sides. This should be a fun, high scoring game that could go down to the wire. Last year the Bears won 60-59 after the Cougars missed a last-minute 19 yard field goal. Can the Cougars pull off an upset this time?
Washington State and Cal are very similar teams. Both have explosive offenses, barely-there defenses, poor special teams and they both have trouble scoring in the red zone. All the similarities should be expected though, since Cal coach Sonny Dykes worked for Washington State head coach Mike Leach for six years while they were at Texas Tech.
