Classy coach!
Washington Huskies head coach Chris Petersen made the Boise State Broncos what they are today. He built them from upstart mid-major to WAC powerhouse to two-time Fiesta Bowl winners, and he brought them to the precipice of a national championship several times. He ran up an incredible track record.
So it was obviously hard to coach against them on Friday night. He didn't exchange pregame pleasantries with Boise State head coach Bryan Harsin, and cameras surrounded him most of the night. It took every bit of his coaching ability to take a young and inexperienced Washington team to hang around and nearly pull off the upset against Boise.
