Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, right?
Recently, USC took it one step further as it evaluated Vitamin D levels in its athletes and added a breakfast item for student-athletes that seems a bit out of the norm -- Frosted Flakes.
According to The Wall Street Journal's Rachel Bachman, more than one-third of the student-athlete population at USC had insufficient Vitamin D levels, which prompted the move to offer Frosted Flakes, a cereal that's fortified with Vitamin D.
"After we put Frosted Flakes out, their vitamin D levels were much better," USC sports nutrition director Becci Twombley told Bachman.
