UCLA NFL Draft history: Maurice Jones-Drew, Alterraun Verner the best Bruins selected

Linebacker Anthony Barr, picked 9th overall in 1st round of 2014 draft by Minnesota Vikings: Barr is already looking like one of the soundest picks in a long while, and he’s helped make Minnesota one of the fiercest defenses out there with his mere presence on the field.

Tight end Mercedes Lewis, picked 28th overall in 1st round of 2006 draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars: A very consistent pass catcher since entering the league, Lewis made one Pro Bowl and hauled in the grabs throughout his time in Jacksonville.

Alterraun Verner, picked 104th overall in 4th round of 2010 draft by the Tennessee Titans: One of the best cover corners in the NFL, Verner has logged 50 tackles or more each season and is constantly defending passes every season he’s been in the league.
