For the second straight year, coach Clay Helton has USC off and running on signing day, as ESPN 300 linebacker Levi Jones selected the Trojans over Florida State.
After landing seven commitments on signing day last year, USC started the day with a big one from Jones, the nation’s No. 65 prospect and No. 4 outside linebacker. Jones is only the second linebacker commit in the class for USC, which looks to be finished at the position. There is also a chance that Jones gets a look inside for the Trojans, as they look for a replacement for departed senior Michael Hutchings.
