The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame unveiled its Class of 2017 on Tuesday, with five inductees set to be enshrined from a list of 18 finalists.
The inductees are Junior Ah You (Samoan ancestry), Riki Ellison (Mu0101ori ancestry), Chris Naeole (Hawaiian ancestry), Ma'a Tanuvasa (Samoan ancestry) as player inductees and John Manumaleuna (Samoan ancestry) as a contributor.
Ah You, a defensive lineman from Arizona State, was drafted by the Patriots in 1972 but went on to a successful career in the Canadian Football League.
Ellison, a linebacker from USC, played for the 49ers and Raiders and won three Super Bowls, two Rose Bowls and a college football national championship.
