Stanford vaults to top of Pac-12 pack in latest AP poll

Stanford is again the Pac-12's top-ranked team.

The Cardinal, conference champions in 2012 and 2013 before stumbling to five losses last year, moved up to No. 8 in the latest AP Poll following their 31-14 win over Washington. They passed Utah, who dropped 10 spots from No. 3 to No. 13 following their 42-24 loss at USC.

UCLA re-entered the Top 25 by beating California 40-24 on Thursday. The Golden Bears dropped out of the rankings, but they did retain five votes, joining USC (33 votes) and Washington State (2 votes) as teams who received acknowledgment from writers but did not crack the rankings.
