The thing about rebuilding a program is that milestones can often be marginalized because progress is slow moving. Inside the Oregon State locker room, head coach Gary Andersen sees a team with a lot of potential, but also a lot of inconsistencies. On the outside, most folks only see the 4-16 record since Andersen took over.
But much like Colorado painstakingly suffered through a trio of losing seasons before finally breaking out, the Beavers are experiencing the growing pains necessary for a program to rise to a consistent, competitive level.
That journey continues Saturday with a trip to Stanford.
