But few were more surprising than the firing of Arizona defensive coordinator Jeff Casteel, who had been with Rodriguez at Arizona and West Virginia. Rodriguez also fired defensive line coach Bill Kirelawich, who also spent time with Rodriguez at West Virginia.
On Wednesday, Tucson.com reporter Michael Lev sat down with Rodriguez, who told Lev that it was a very hard decision.
