Rams sign Nick Foles to contract extension

The Rams and Nick Foles have made no secret of their mutual admiration since the trade that brought the quarterback to the Midwest. On Friday, both parties made it official with a new deal.

Rams coach Jeff Fisher announced after the team’s scrimmage at Lindenwood University that the team had signed Foles to a two-year contract extension. “It was important to us,” Fisher told reporters. “We’ve seen enough. We wanted to get a deal done that was good for both sides. I can’t thank (Rams owner/chairman) Stan (Kroenke) enough and the work that (chief operating officer) Kevin (Demoff) and (senior assistant) Tony (Pastoors) and (general manager) Les (Snead) did and Nick’s guys, (agent) David Dunn and those guys to get it done.
