Front-runner in the South: By virtue of its record and spot in the standings, we'll go ahead and call Colorado the front-runner, but the Buffaloes' margin for error got smaller over the weekend when USC beat Washington. Colorado has two very difficult games to end the regular season: Washington State, the only undefeated team in Pac-12 play, and Utah. Both games are at home, but if the Buffs drop either (likely) and USC beats UCLA (also likely), USC would hold the head-to-head tiebreaker.
