Oregon's trademark was there on Saturday -- the flashy uniform and the Nike swoosh. But what it represents, the speed and up-tempo offense the Ducks bring to the table, seemed lagging as Oregon beat UC Davis 53-28 in its season opener.
And though Oregon quarterback Dakota Prukop played in a similar offense at Montana State before graduate-transferring (his offensive coordinator at Montana State had worked with Chip Kelly at the University of New Hampshire in the 2000s), he never really got to a point where he felt happy with the pace of the offense.
