On Sunday night, Oregon coach Mark Helfrich was very honest about where his team is right now -- Physically: OK; Mentally: “A little struggling.”
“That's an accurate and good mindset right now for the situation not anyone wants to be in,” Helfrich said.
That makes sense. Mentally, the Ducks should be struggling with a bit of an identity crisis. No one, probably not inside or outside of the program, really knows what to make of this team. A month ago they had a heralded graduate transfer quarterback, multitude of offensive weapons, a new defensive coordinator and were ready to return to national prominence.
