The USC Trojans are sending another offensive lineman to the NFL. Center Max Tuerk was picked 66th in the 3rd round of the draft by the San Diego Chargers. The Trojans currently have eight offensive linemen in the NFL, including big uglies like Khaled Holmes, Matt Kalil and Tyron Smith from this decade.
Tuerk moved to offensive guard for 13 games, starting one game at right tackle, earning All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention. In his junior season, Tuerk moved to center and became one of the best at the position in college football. Tuerk earned first team All-Pac-12 honors and USC's Offensive Linemen of the year award.
