Jake Browning's offseason reading led to a change in his leadership

SEATTLE -- Before the season started, Washington coach Chris Petersen was asked how Jake Browning could improve this season.

In a roundabout way, he explained that in order for Browning to improve, the players around him needed to improve.

“I think we need to talk about all the other unsung heroes that need to be unsung heroes,” Petersen said. “And if those guys elevate their game, if that O-line elevates their game, if our tight ends take the next step, if our wide receivers can start making some really spectacular plays, I think everything is going to change on our offense in terms of momentum.
