Iowa Senate bill takes aim at Stanford band

National Signing Day is traditionally a symbolic turning of the page to the future, but there's still one politician who hasn't gotten over the halftime show of the Rose Bowl.

According to The Des Moines Register, Iowa state senator Mark Chelgren introduced Senate File 2081 (full text here), a bill that would prohibit Iowa's three state schools -- the University of Iowa, Iowa State University, and the University of Northern Iowa -- from academically "cooperating with Stanford University until Stanford officials publicly apologize to Iowans for 'unsporting behavior' by the school's marching band during the Jan.
